The Arturia MiniFreak is a 6-voice polyphonic hybrid synthesizer that merges dual digital sound engines with warm analog filters, offering a versatile and experimental, yet immediate, sound design experience. It is a powerful, compact, and "algorithmic" instrument, designed to bridge the gap between digital precision and analog warmth.

Dual Digital Engines: The MiniFreak features two engines, each with over 20 selectable oscillator modes—including Virtual Analog, FM, Additive, and Granular—which can be used independently, stacked, or used to process one another for complex, evolving textures. It also incorporates algorithms from Mutable Instruments and Noise Engineering.

Analog Filtering: Each voice passes through a 12dB analog resonant filter (with Low-pass, Band-pass, and High-pass modes), adding warmth and classic subtractive capabilities to the digital sounds.

Modulation & Effects: A comprehensive modulation matrix with 7 sources and 13 destinations, plus custom LFO shapes and a "cycling envelope" (which can act as a second LFO or LFO-like envelope), allows for extreme sound shaping. The onboard stereo FX engine includes 3 slots with 10+ algorithms, such as chorus, phaser, flanger, reverb, delay, distortion, and a 3-band EQ. 

Keybed: The unit includes a 37-note, velocity-sensitive slim-key keybed with aftertouch, designed for expressive performance.

Sequencer and Arpeggiator: A 64-step sequencer and a creative, versatile arpeggiator (with ratchet, octave, and "spice & dice" randomization features) are included for instant musical inspiration.

MiniFreak V Plugin: The synthesizer comes with a dedicated VST/AU plugin that mirrors the hardware's architecture, allowing seamless integration into DAW workflows and easy preset management.

Connectivity options include stereo outputs, 5-pin MIDI In/Out/Thru, USB, and audio input for processing external signals.
